How do I become a Member?

WHAT IS RUSH?

Rush is 2-3 week period at the beginning of each semester. It is a time for you, a "prospective member," to meet the sisters of Alpha Sigma Rho at the University of Georgia, and for us to learn about who you are. Joining a sisterhood is a very serious matter because we wish to preserve the sisterhood that our founders have worked so hard to bestow onto us.

If you have completed the requirements of rush, you may be given a "bid" or formal invitation to continue the process of becoming a sister of Alpha Sigma Rho Sorority, Inc. You then have the option to either accept or decline the invitation.

All prospective members must attend at least TWO recruitment events and ONE informational meeting!

RUSH EVENTS

All events are FREE and rides will be provided. There are no obligations to join, so please come and have fun with us! These events provide an opportunity for you to meet the active sisters of the sorority, make new friends, and most importantly, find out if Alpha Sigma Rho is the right fit for you.

We are the FIRST ASIAN-INTEREST SORORITY founded in the Southeast and Georgia (April 2, 1998).

We focus on academic excellence, interpersonal growth, moral development, and strength in unity.
We are consistently ranked as having the highest GPA in our Multicultural Greek Council.
With chapters in different states (Texas, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio), we always meet new people during convention--Greek and Non-Greek.
We can be your family-away from home with our brother fraternity Xi Kappa Fraternity, Inc.
